Let's Talk

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step.

For some people, it's something they've been thinking about for months. Others find themselves here after a difficult week, a relationship challenge, a major life transition, or simply the realization that carrying everything alone isn't working quite as well as it used to.

If you're considering working together, a consultation call is a chance for us to briefly connect and see whether it feels like a good fit.

What Is a Consultation?

A consultation is a brief conversation where we can discuss what brings you to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and determine whether my approach aligns with what you're looking for.

You do not need to have everything figured out before scheduling a consultation.

Most people don't.

You don't need a perfectly organized explanation of your life. You don't need a diagnosis. You don't need to know exactly what you want to work on.

A general sense of what's bringing you here is more than enough.

What We'll Talk About

During our conversation, we may discuss:

  • What has prompted you to seek therapy, coaching, or consulting
  • What you're hoping for from the process
  • Any questions you have about my approach
  • Scheduling, availability, insurance, fees, or any practical questions you may have
  • Whether working together feels like a good fit

The goal is not to solve everything on a consultation call.

The goal is simply to help you feel informed enough to decide what makes sense for your next step.

A Note for Couples

If you're considering couples therapy, both partners do not need to attend the consultation call.

Many people reach out individually at first because they're gathering information, exploring options, or trying to decide whether therapy feels like the right next step for their relationship.

If your partner is unsure, hesitant, or not ready to participate yet, that's okay. You're still welcome to schedule a consultation and learn more about the process.

A Good Fit Goes Both Ways

Finding the right therapist matters.

Therapy works best when you feel comfortable, understood, and able to build trust with the person you're working with.

If it seems like I'm a good fit, we can discuss scheduling.

If it seems like another therapist, service, or resource would better meet your needs, I'll do my best to help point you in the right direction.

There is no pressure and no obligation to move forward.

Before You Schedule

You do not need to prepare for this call.

You do not need the perfect words.

You do not need to know exactly where to begin.

Just show up as you are.

We'll figure out the rest together.
