Relationship Intensives
Sometimes weekly therapy doesn’t feel like enough space.
Some couples feel so stuck in painful patterns that by the time they settle into a session, it already feels like time is almost over. Others are navigating a major rupture, disconnection, transition, or relational crisis and want the opportunity to slow things down more intentionally and work at a deeper level. Relationship intensives offer extended, focused time to step outside the usual cycle and understand what’s happening underneath the surface of the relationship. Rather than trying to unpack months or years of relational patterns in small pieces over time, intensives create space for more sustained conversations, deeper emotional processing, and meaningful momentum.

Intensives May Be Helpful If…
- You feel stuck in repetitive conflict cycles and don’t know how to interrupt them
- Weekly therapy feels too slow or too limited for what’s currently happening
- Your schedules make consistent weekly sessions difficult
- You’re navigating a major rupture, betrayal, transition, or reconnection process
- You feel emotionally disconnected and want dedicated space to reconnect more intentionally
- Communication breaks down quickly and conversations escalate before either person feels understood
- You want focused support around a specific relational issue or recurring dynamic
- You’re looking for a more immersive and structured therapeutic experience
- You want to better understand the deeper emotional and relational patterns shaping the relationship
What an Intensive Might Look Like
Relationship intensives are designed to be more flexible and customized than traditional weekly therapy.
Depending on the needs of the couple, this may include:
Extended therapy sessions
Half-day or multi-session formats
Pre-intensive questionnaires and assessment
Focused relational and communication work
Nervous system and attachment-focused interventions
Structured conversations with active therapeutic support
Practical tools alongside deeper emotional work
Follow-up recommendations or continued therapy support
Some couples use intensives as a supplement to ongoing therapy, while others use them as a focused starting point when they feel especially stuck or overwhelmed.

My Approach
My approach to intensives is thoughtful, relational, and highly pattern-focused. I’m less interested in surface-level communication tips and more interested in helping couples understand the deeper cycle underneath the conflict — the protective patterns, emotional injuries, nervous system responses, and relational dynamics that keep pulling both people back into the same painful places. Intensives create space to slow those cycles down enough that both people can begin to feel understood more clearly and respond differently inside the relationship. The goal is not perfection. It’s helping couples move out of survival mode and into more honest, emotionally connected ways of relating.
This is intensive work for self-aware couples who are ready to engage with the reality of their relationship dynamics in a concentrated way. Rather than just checking in once a week, we use this sustained time to stay with the difficult conversations until the energy begins to shift, allowing for the kind of emotional depth and systemic insight that creates lasting momentum.
Current Availability
Relationship intensives are currently offered in a limited capacity while I continue building this part of my practice thoughtfully and intentionally.\nIf you’re interested in learning more or exploring whether an intensive may be a good fit for your relationship, you’re welcome to reach out for additional information.
Wondering if an intensive might be right for you?
Because intensives are more focused than traditional weekly therapy, we’ll start by talking about what’s happening in your relationship and whether this format makes sense for what you need.
